PCOS Fertility in Seattle, Washington

Seattle, Washington is set in a stunning location. Sitting on the banks of the Salish Sea (formerly known as Puget Sound) with the cascade mountains in the background and Mt. Rainier rising out of the south, beauty is one thing you won’t be short on in Seattle.

If you’re visiting, plan to at least stay for a full weekend. There are so many cute neighborhoods, good food and sites to visit that you don’t want to miss out on.

So let’s talk about a few must-see places in Seattle.

Start out at the iconic Pike Place Market. Well known for the flying fish. Seafood definitely abounds at the market but there is so much more to see!

When you’re in the market, start with a coffee from Storyville Coffee and then grab a crumpet from The Crumpet Shop. Stroll through the market taking in all the amazing flower bouquets. Seriously. The amount of flower stalls with stunning bursts of color is incredible. I always bring home a huge bouquet.

Yes, the original Starbucks is also there in the market area. Go ahead and check it out.

Once it’s lunchtime, head to The Athenian. It has beautiful views of the bay where you can watch the ferries and cargo ships go in and out. Oh, and did you know, The Athenian was filmed in the movie Sleepless in Seattle? There’s a plaque on the stool where Tom Hanks sat. Check it out!

After lunch, it’s time to explore a new area. Head up to the Space Needle of course. The Seattle Center (where the Space Needle sits) is full of so much more to do than just go up the needle.

Be sure to check out the Museum of Pop Culture if you love music. I also, personally, love the butterfly exhibit. What can be more uplifting than a huge room full of vibrant colored butterflies? Chihuly’s Glass Museum is also right there displaying his original glass art.

Notes About Neighborhoods in Seattle, Washington:

Fremont Neighborhood

If you are visiting in the summer, you can rent kayaks to go through the cut (the water that connects the Salish Sea to Lake Union).

Try to be there on a Sunday and go to the Sunday Market. Such a treat with live music, food and local goods!

Can you find the Fremont Troll? Come back and let me know here in the comments if you were able to!

Queen Anne Neighborhood

Really just a quick hop, step and a jump away from Fremont, the Queen Anne neighborhood is home to beautiful old homes with great views of the city skyline and the bay. If you’re interested in just strolling around, this is your neighborhood to do it.

Ballard Neighborhood

Stop by the Ballard locks to watch the boats go up and down through the locks. Stop for pizza at Delancey.

The Eastside

Bellevue and Redmond are fun stops on a Seattle tour. You will want a car since they are on the other side of Lake Washington from downtown Seattle.

This is just the tip of the iceberg for things to see in Seattle. What’s your favorite place to visit in Seattle? Let me know here in the comments.
